Welcome to Our Lady of Lourdes

*Important Announcement*

It is with a heavy but trusting heart that we announce the closure of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish this coming February of 2022. The parish of Our Lady of Lourdes will be merged into the existing parish of St. John Francis Regis, which is located at 8941 James A. Reed Road, Kansas City, MO. St. John Francis Regis, in addition to being a parish, also has a K-8 grade school.

Our Lady of Lourdes will hold a last Mass on Sunday, February 6th, at 10:00 AM. Out of respect to the parishioners of Our Lady of Lourdes and St. John Francis Regis, and in light of the ongoing pandemic, we ask that attendance of that Mass be limited to our two congregations.

The parish of Our Lady of Lourdes has a rich history and has been given the gift of being present for many more than 70 years in Raytown, for which we thank Almighty God. We recognize that time brings change, and though our numbers are smaller now, we see there is a large opportunity at hand. For the sake of this mission, we join the parish of St. John Francis Regis Parish, and together form One Family, Restored in Christ, so as to be better Equipped for Mission.

A more formal announcement from our parish and diocese will be present on this website in the coming weeks ahead. Thank you and know of our prayers for you. We ask for yours as well.
